Giorni Vacanzieri

Giorni Vacanzieri is a music video I directed together with Marco as I Ragazzi Della Prateria for the band Ex-Otago. The video is a re-enachment of the movie “Vacanze di Natale 83″ an Italian trash movie directed by fratelli Vanzina. In 3 min we synthesized the all film and believe me the story is not much more than what you can see here.

I moved to Friuli (my home town region) straight back from Amsterdam.
It was such a hard time pretending to do cool stuff without thinking what i had left behind me.
This is a good example, me washing up the second had beach chairs I had just bought for the shooting

Here Fabio, our DOP, looks in the camera and tells us about life and the meaning of all things. Especially that for our safety is better to shoot booth Super8 and digital, just to save our asses.

In Amsterdam I had left a place called 182 near the train station were you could have a decent meal for 7 euro (consisting of a sausage and two balls of smashed potatoes, which in a plait looked like a dick). The only thing which kept me alive in Friuli was this video!

when i look at it i don’t see a music video, i just recognize all the extra actors.
